OLD TURKOMAN TEKKE RUG MOTH DAMAGE RESTORATION
This lovely old Turkoman Tekke rug had many holes and pile was missing in more than fifty places all over the rug. Like most of the other Turkish origin rugs, this rug has wool foundations rather than cotton and as moths like to go through the wool, this meant we had to insert new foundation into the rug. If you have moth issue and your hand woven rug has cotton foundations, you are much better off as it is much easier to rectify the situation. Take extra care if your rug has wool foundations as moth will damage the rug structurally too. www.rugart.biz
